The Cascade Network is designed as an immersive knowledge communication system for communities - underpinned by blockchain - to communicate cultural forms indigenous to the Pacific isles and deep communication on resilience and facing transition.

The Cascade is a network that logs stories and living culture in form of experiential content, an experience that can be navigated via an interactive 3D model of Vanuatu accessed by phone and web.

Key elements:

Experiential transmissions - The network is designed for sharing creative and cultural forms and everyday life in Vanuatu and looking to the application of immersive technologies (360 video spheres, binaural audio) to create experiential transmissions. The experiential content looks to engage bodily senses and communicate through bodily presence and place. Audio versions will also be available.

An accessible 3D map for navigation using photogrammetry - a 3D model of the island populated by objects captured with photogrammetry techniques and 3D art that link to the creative content and stories of the land.

The Network - Experiential content held on a Web VR solution (IPFS, Holochain) to massively upscale and reach many more people over the coming years. The network will leverage blockchain possibilities to create a healthy value exchange for sharing creativity and island experience and connecting it to value and ownership for the islanders (value)

Cascading Value - Cultural transmissions and materiality are sacred. The virtual island is intended not only to communicate life on Vanuatu, but ensure that communications of island life translates to value and resources for the islanders themselves. A blockchain system ensures value is gained and creative ownership is kept by the originators.
